Looking after your new floor

Whether you have a new carpet, wood floor or vinyl regular maintenance will ensure your new floor looks its best at all times, here are a few tips for you to follow:

A regular vacuum on your carpet is essential, it frees up the pile keeping that new look as long as possible, any spills need removal immediately and if persistent marks wont come out we recommend a professional cleaner is contacted.

Now with wood floors they are a different ball game, laminate wood we don’t recommend a wet mop just a damp cloth and a light hoover or a soft brush, check that your hover has a hard floor setting first.

With real wood again a damp cloth, no chemicals or solvents and a light hoover or soft brush. Always make sure you have felt pad on all furniture to help protect against scratches and marking.

Remember you cannot sand and seal laminate wood so no abrasive cloths should be used.

With real wood you can sand and re-seal we don’t recommend you do this yourself always use a professional to do this work.
